February’s Business of the Month is Albertsons!

The Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce and its Business of the Month Committee are pleased to award the February Business of the Month to Albertsons.

Albertsons first opened its doors on beautiful Whidbey Island in June of 1999. From the first day of business, its motto has been to make its customers lives easier. In October of 2006, Store Director Bob Drennen arrived from Southern California; bringing a new energy and enthusiasm to the store.

Albertsons makes it a point to be welcoming of its customers and neighbors. Over the past year, Albertsons has donated generously to community events, fund raisers, and groups.
Bob said, “Joining the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce was the best decision I ever made, and after being made Board President, I still feel the same way.”

Albertsons has been a great community partner this past year, being instrumental in helping with the Old Fashioned Fourth of July fireworks fund raising, Oak Harbor Chamber of
Commerce Annual Banquet, Military Appreciation Picnic, Oak Harbor Chamber Shop Local campaign, and the OH Fit program and OH Fit Expo.

This year, Drennen tasked his managers to pick one local event to be involved with, whether it is the Car Show, Holland Happening, or Relay for Life, something that helps out our neighbors, as Bob sees the power in community involvement.
